Imagining Town Center
DPZ CoDesign, an internationally renowned design firm, facilitated a 7-day community visioning exercise in the fall of 2019 to lay the foundation for a shared vision of Town Center.
The 390 acres, around Town Center (the intersection of Erie Parkway and County Line Road) was studied by the Urban Land Institute. Their findings show this location is prime for becoming a unique and thriving place with the right mix of retail, office, residential, civic, park and open space uses.
Erie Commons Final Site Plan
The Erie Commons final site plan was approved in July 2021 for six commercial pads and Boulder Creek Wee-Cottages which consists of 154 townhomes and has already begun construction. Circle K and Premier Members Credit Union are committed to the site as of Oct. 2021. The anticipated property tax revenue from the residential development will fund the Downtown Infrastructure Improvements projects.
Roads Projects & Town Center Access
The Town hired Baseline Engineering in early 2021 to provide services to develop conceptual designs for the Traditional Roundabout for the North Gateway, and a Peanut Roundabout for the South Gateway to the Town Center Peel. These designs will be used through the Preliminary and Final Engineering phases to provide construction documents, and provide Bidding Support Services.
Ranchwood Townhomes Site Plan
Ranchwood has submitted site plans for their townhome community and is expected to begin construction in the first or second quarter of 2022.
