M. Hill - Basketball and multi-use courts, lots of well manicured grass for activities, rock wall, picnic area, some large trees for shade.

A big playground would be cool but Erie community park playgrounds are legit, and we have two parks in Morgan hill already. Would be good to use this space for activities of all ages.

Public Outdoor Pool as Voted On Originally

While we know an outdoor pool is not on any of the plans, there was a large (majority) vote earlier in this process that listed this as being a high priority. It would potentially be a way to slowly recapture some of the money spent on park improvements. Basketball, volleyball, pickleball courts and softball fields would be awesome! Parking designed to reduce impact on the neighborhoods. Good buffers between "homes" and the park.

We have pocket parks in Compass, but they are really geared more toward the younger/elementary age. It would be nice to see Basketball, tennis, etc that could be used by older kids. And a flat field for sports - there are little areas in our community but with rounded hills, so not very useful for throwing a ball, much less soccer or other sports.

I was truly disappointed in the 3 design ideas for compass shown at the Boo on Briggs event. None of them bring anything new to the area.

We really enjoy playing cricket in Erie Cricket ground. we appreciate city's help with mowing the field time to time...it would be better if we have some green grass in the field to have better experience.

Support restrooms in neighborhood park; also it would be nice if the view down open space/drainage corridor to west of park was better utilized, currently you have proposed fenced courts that will block views.

Bathrooms are a must; I only saw one in Design 2. My preference is Design 1. No nighttime lighting; it would disturb those close by.

Concept 3 has so many trees along county line road which provides some form of protection from the busy road. Could we replicate this tree coverage along this road for all 3 parks? Both concepts 1 & 3 have playgrounds and basketball/picket courts which we love. The water play feature in concept 1 is also really beautiful. My least favorite is concept 2. Could we please add BATHROOMS in all the parks? I can only see bathrooms in park 2.

I love the integrated playground and water feature in Concept 2. Also parking near the playground is important (concepts 2 and 3).

We love 1 or 3 and t like the various courts and playing field. Do not want another bike/skate park. Prefer the water play from 2 be used

Inclusive playgrounds!

So thrilled to see an inclusive playground!!! This is so very needed. #2 was our favorite with two playgrounds for kids of all ages and abilities. We’re really hoping the landscaping will utilize native plants and trees to best support our pollinators and wildlife (and use less water!)

Please remove parking lot adjacent to Morgan Hill pool parking lot from final design.

This location will create confusion for the public and increase risk of prohibited use (not a public pool or restroom) . Additionally, many safety issues with increased traffic and poor visibility (road has a sharp bend and steep decline towards the north, creating blind spot) .

Cricket community would love to be part of Concept 3.

Concept 3 Master plan gives the variety to public, Tennis, Pickleball, Basketball, Walking trails, Native seed , dry pond, lots of shades and ample parking spaces.

With all the on street parking the lot near pool does not seem necessary. Public restrooms needed.

Number 1 - Open field

Morgan Hill already has 2 playgrounds on either side of this field. The dry river bed provides nice privacy to the community and makes it feel more natural. This plan seems to be the most simple. This IS NOT a big space and cramming too much in will inhibit this from feeing like a park. Having one big sports field is better than being broken apart.

#3 beautiful layout, love the use of natural seed & low/high intensity playgrounds. #2 like bike/scoot idea and boardwalk is very unique.

Concept 2 and 3

I like the layout of three the best and diversity of activities. The boardwalk from two is a unique offering we don’t have elsewhere and should be incorporated in the final design.

All 3 plans have a parking lot directly adjacent to our pool parking lot. Seems like people might think it’s a public town pool.

Only 1 plan has restrooms. An actual restroom building (not outhouses) is needed or we’re going to to have people use the neighborhood pool.

Love the concept 3, restrooms and walk path around the big green area from concept 2 would be a great plus to include in concept 3

Love the 2&3 options, yes there are smaller play structures in the neighborhood but they don’t accommodate the bigger kids

Please consider those who live here with current views of the mountains when planning tall structures or large trees.
